Ella turned 4, December 6th. On Friday the 5th, we had a Princess Party for her and her friends Jessalyn, Ashlyn, and cousins Grace, Lindy, & Jennifer. This was Ella's first "friend-little person" party. So much fun for Mom too! I had the girls dress up in princess costumes and then I started them off with a little lipgloss and fairy dust sparkle. We played princess games (pin the tiara on the princess & pass the crown -aka hot potatoe), and had princess cake and pink punch. Great time for all. Unfortunately my camera was broke so hopefully I'll get more pics from Aunt Sarah soon. Special thanks to Aunt Terri for all your help!
Merry Christmas!
To our loved Friends and Family~ I know I won't get pictures printed in time for Christmas, so here's a couple great shots I got this fall at the park. Please click and save a copy for yourself if you wish. If you need assistance, let me know, I'd love to help you. These beautiful girls are such a blessing and I love sharing our activities with you...so, stay tuned! ; )
Wish you all the best this coming new year!
Mommy's night out for Halloween-Nov 1st
Halloween Fun
This year we enjoyed a much more relaxing Halloween with the girls. Verses last years crazy Halloween/Harvest parties with tons of kids and activities everywhere. The girls and I just had fun at home enjoying the process of getting all costumed, and then when Chris got home we hit the streets to visit a few homes on our quiet street and then drove to visit a few friends. Ella was a beautiful fairy princess, complete with my old tiara from when I was 5 yrs old in Lilly Miss Rathdrum. And Silly Lily was a happy little clown. With her sitting in the bathroom sink watching in the mirrow, painting her face a breeze. She didn't even try to rub it off.
Apple Harvest- September 2008
Pictured- Lindy Young & Ella w/their baskets.
All the girls (Anna, Lindy, Ella, & Kassie)cleaning their apples to make cider. Jayson Derting testing the plums from the hybrid tree.
Early this fall we met up with the Derting family, the Pooleys, & the Youngs for a family activity. On the drive down (about 1 1/2 hrs from CDA), I have to admit, that I was wondering why we were driving so far just to get some apples. But I was soon greatful Terri talked me into it! In Garfield, Washington, a small Eastern Washington town, is a orchard where you bring your own box or bags and hike on up the hill and can pick from the tree your apples. There were several different types spread amongst the property, and it was all a low 25 cents a pound. Precious picture--Ella and Lindy even had small green baskets to fill up on their own-thanks Great Grandma! The central location was perfect to have a special day with the Dertings. The kids, old and young, could even snack while we worked. : )
And to top it off, after picking apples, we had the opportunity to hand press our own cider. Note: if you plan to do this, I advise to bring empty gallon jugs or glass jars to get it home. We pressed three gallons worth and we're now in the process of turning it into Hard Cider, Yum! All and all, a fun day we'll hopefully do again next year.
